Join NOFA RI for a unique and educational tour of Meatworks, a USDA-inspected meat processing facility in Westport, MA. This is a state of the art facility designed to the highest animal welfare and humane handling standards, food safety standards, and full traceability. This tour should appeal to established and beginning livestock farmers, small scale farmers and consumers interested in learning more about processing, animal handling meat cutting and value added processing, such as smokehouse and dry aging capability.

On Saturday, May 11, 2019 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Casey Farm will hold its annual spring seedling sale. Start your culinary garden this spring with Rhode Island certified organic vegetable, fruit and herb seedlings. Other items for sale include Vermont maple syrup, coffee and fresh bakery items. This event is free and Historic New England members receive a 10% discount on all seedlings.

Community Harvest Project’s annual plant sale fundraiser brings over 1,000+ community members to our farm. We offer a huge variety of annuals, perennials, flowers, fruits, herbs, and vegetables to build a beautiful garden. Our volunteer plant experts assist with questions and help find the perfect selection of plants for every visitor.
All proceeds from this event go towards Community Harvest Project's mission of engaging volunteers to help us grow fresh fruits and vegetables for those who need it most.
