SUMMER CSA Season: June-October (22 weeks) Cost: Full $675/Small $400 The summer CSA is a market-style, choice-based share. Each week, you'll get to choose what you want from among 6-15 different items available. We grow over thirty kinds of vegetables, everything from tomatoes and green beans to kohlrabi and rutabaga. The amount of food in the share each week varies with the season, but it will be about 7-14 different items for full shares and 5-10 for small shares. Full shares are designed to feed 2 omnivorous adults or a family of four. Small shares are designed for individuals and couples who eat fewer vegetables. November CSA Season: 2 Saturdays in November Cost: Full $150/Small $90 The November CSA will provide your family with plenty of food for the month of November (as well as enough extra produce for your Thanksgiving feast) in two easy, choice-based pickups. At each pickup, you'll have the opportunity to select exactly what vegetables you want from a wide variety of winter roots, hardy greens, and other storage crops. Full shares will get to choose between 12-17 items at each pickup; small shares will choose 7-10. The larger of the two pickups will be on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Flower Share Season: July-September (10 weeks) Cost: $120 Each week, in addition to your vegetables, take home a beautiful, freshly arranged flower bouquet. Our flowers are always harvested the day of the share or the day before, ensuring quality and freshness. Flowers vary throughout the season, but you can expect to take home celosia, zinnias, dahlias, snapdragons, and more. It's a great way to bring a little bit of summer into the house! |

| Plough & Stars Farm
LOW UPFRONT COST – A deposit of $200 will make you a shareholder in Plough and Stars Farm. Starting in early June you can apply that deposit to produce grown throughout our entire 20-week season. This is a much smaller deposit than most CSAs. We simply ask members to show their support for our farm by sourcing as much of their produce from us as possible. A minimum commitment of approximately $15/week for a family of 1 or 2 or $25/week for a family of 3 or more will help us plan our crops and grow for seasons to come. ORDER WHAT YOU LIKE - In the past, CSA members received a weekly box of the farm’s harvest, without much say in the contents. This can be an exciting approach to cooking or intimidating depending on how you feel about a box of beets. Each week, our CSA members will get an email or an update on Facebook with what’s fresh and available at the farm. Members then place an order for exactly what they want online and come to a designated pick up point to collect their freshly harvested produce. THIS IS REAL COMMUNITY - We’re already neighbors. We see each other walking our dogs and taking out the trash. This is one more opportunity to connect, shake hands, swap recipes, throw harvest parties and get organized. TOUCH DIRT - We’re partial but we think farm life and work is fantastic. And something that sets us apart is our passion for sharing the experience with you. Whether it is through growing tips in our home garden, weekly stories in our blog or in print, or whether you want to come visit our operation in Lincoln, we want you to know the farm and think of it as your own. What is CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture, often shortened to CSA, is a prepaid subscription to a farm's produce for the season. Most CSAs give shareholders a weekly supply of veggies, herbs, fruits and sometimes even eggs and meat. You know it's fresh and you get to meet the farm and people who grew your food! The prepaid CSA arrangements also makes it a source of financial security for the farmer. Some CSAs also incorporate farm workdays for shareholders. Pickup days vary by farm and there are pickup locations across Northeast MA.CSAs have been very popular recently. Be sure to sign up early before subscriptions are filled!
