SUMMER CSA Season: June-October (22 weeks) Cost: Full $675/Small $400 The summer CSA is a market-style, choice-based share. Each week, you'll get to choose what you want from among 6-15 different items available. We grow over thirty kinds of vegetables, everything from tomatoes and green beans to kohlrabi and rutabaga. The amount of food in the share each week varies with the season, but it will be about 7-14 different items for full shares and 5-10 for small shares. Full shares are designed to feed 2 omnivorous adults or a family of four. Small shares are designed for individuals and couples who eat fewer vegetables. November CSA Season: 2 Saturdays in November Cost: Full $150/Small $90 The November CSA will provide your family with plenty of food for the month of November (as well as enough extra produce for your Thanksgiving feast) in two easy, choice-based pickups. At each pickup, you'll have the opportunity to select exactly what vegetables you want from a wide variety of winter roots, hardy greens, and other storage crops. Full shares will get to choose between 12-17 items at each pickup; small shares will choose 7-10. The larger of the two pickups will be on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. December CSA Season: 2 Saturdays in December Cost: Full $150/Small $90 The December CSA is a choice-based bulk share, intended to provide your family with storage crops for the winter months. The share will consist primarily of root crops and storage vegetables (like potatoes and winter squash) as well as greens from our hoophouses. At each pickup, you'll get to select exactly what vegetables you want. Full shares will get to choose 12-17 items at each pickup (~25 pounds); small shares will choose 7-10 (~15 pounds). The larger of the two pickups will be on the Saturday before Christmas. Flower Share Season: July-September (10 weeks) Cost: $120 Each week, in addition to your vegetables, take home a beautiful, freshly arranged flower bouquet. Our flowers are always harvested the day of the share or the day before, ensuring quality and freshness. Flowers vary throughout the season, but you can expect to take home celosia, zinnias, dahlias, snapdragons, and more. It's a great way to bring a little bit of summer into the house!

Barrett's Mill Farm
We run a "market style" CSA. Over the course of the season (20 week and 24 week options available), members come to the farm once a week and choose from among the 10-20 vegetables available to fill their CSA bag. All vegetables are grown at Barrett's Mill Farm using organic methods. Most vegetables will have no maximum quantity other than the total bag size, however approximately 3-5 items will be limited each week. In addition to the vegetables that will be harvested for members, there will be a set amount of Pick-Your-Own crops available most weeks.

Siena Farms
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a collaboration between farmers and their customers to create an organic, season-long culinary experience. The pre-season CSA income enables the farm to cover the upfront costs of the growing season (seeds, supplies, labor, etc.) before the harvest begins in early summer. Your weekly half-bushel CSA box will contain a delicious variety of specialty vegetables fresh from Siena Farms' fields through the 2012 harvest season. The following Farm Share options are now available for our 2012 season. What is CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture, often shortened to CSA, is a prepaid subscription to a farm's produce for the season. Most CSAs give shareholders a weekly supply of veggies, herbs, fruits and sometimes even eggs and meat. You know it's fresh and you get to meet the farm and people who grew your food! The prepaid CSA arrangements also makes it a source of financial security for the farmer. Some CSAs also incorporate farm workdays for shareholders. Pickup days vary by farm and there are pickup locations across Northeast MA.

CSAs have been very popular recently. Be sure to sign up early before subscriptions are filled!
