MEAT SHARE: Imagine filling your freezer with grass-fed beef…steaks and roasts of your choosing, all for the price of burger! Our custom beef program allows you to enjoy bulk pricing and custom cut selection with the comfort of knowing that your animal is raised locally on a family farm. Hager Bros. Farm will custom graze your animal on their lush pastures through the summer until market time in the fall, at which time we will sit down with you to help explain the cut selection sheet and answer any questions regarding the processing of your beef. We will transport your animal to Adam’s Farm in Athol, to be processed under federal USDA inspection. Your cuts will be flash frozen, labeled and vacuum sealed. Additionally, photos, updates and information on your animal’s care are available upon request. Too much meat for your freezer? We encourage families, friends and neighbors to co-purchase. |

Goldthread Organic Herb Farm & Apothecary
Community Supported Medicine Shares Inspired by the model of Community Supported Agriculture, Goldthread offers herbs, spices, and herbal products organically grown on our farm directly to our members. The shares contain herbs and remedies for a host of commonly encountered conditions such as colds, flus, sore throats, coughs, digestive issues, sleep improvement, skin conditions, children’s health, and more. When you purchase a share, it helps support the work we do growing and processing the herbs into useful natural medicines that nourish the body and enhance vitality. In return, you will receive a variety of herbs that support good health and the health of the environment, while also preserving the agricultural character of our wonderful community. This year, shares will be divided into three separate pickup dates throughout the growing season in August, September, and October. During the scheduled pickup at the farm in Conway, members will be encouraged to meet the plants that comprise their share and there will be a short educational session about how best to use the herbs provided in that month's share. Also, beginning this year we are tailoring each share to take advantage of what the season brings at the farm (different from previous years where there was a choice structure and only one pick-up.) Share sizes o Large enough for a family of 3-4, or to share among a group of friends. ($250) o Suitable for an individual or a family just beginning to learn about herbs and spices. ($150) Call 413-587-0620 for more information and to order your share. |
