The produce and fruit shares include 8-12 different vegetables and 1-3 types of fruit each week. This works out to 6-12+ lbs of vegetables, and 2-6+ lbs of fruits, depending on the season. We select each week’s share from what we have available. We aim to provide both consistency & variety in the share, so that you always have a few new things in your kitchen, just like if you had a big garden! All produce is seasonal, of course – for example, you’ll often get greens, asparagus, & strawberries in the spring, tomatoes, peppers, sweet corn, blueberries & melons in the summer, and potatoes, squashes, apples, & pears in the fall. Some items, like lettuce, carrots, beets, radishes, and kale, are available throughout the season. Pickup is weekly for eggs & produce, once per month for meats & poultry. You can also pick up eggs monthly with a meat CSA, because eggs stay fresh for several weeks. Our distribution sites are Fridays in Roxbury (ISBCC) and Sharon (ICNE), Saturdays in Providence (member home), and in Wayland (ICB) and at the farm on Sundays. We also provide delivery in certain locations. Please call us at (413) 467 1657 or visit https://fortyacresfarm.com/shop/.

We feature a 24 week CSA that provides vegetables, eggs, and fruit/berries, as they ripen, in every distribution from July-December- no need to pay extra for separate fruit or egg shares! As a result of experience and customer requests, Kathy has introduced some uniquely attractive features to her CSA program. Shareholders in this CSA select which day or evening is most convenient for them to pick up their personalized, weekly allotment. Can't make your scheduled pick up? No need to forfeit it-just give the farm 24-48 hour advance notice and we will add in extra produce in future distributions. Receive complimentary eggs with fully paid CSA membership and more eggs if you successfully recommend this CSA to someone else. Participants may purchase full or half shares. Payment plans are available. **Sign up by December 31st to take advantage of our $25 early bird discount for whole or half shares.** For more details, contact Kathy at greenacresfruitfarm@outlook.com or (413) 596-3016 or come in and visit the farmstand at 868 Main Street in Wilbraham, open 10-5 daily.

Gardening The Community
GTC EATS! is our Farm Share Program (also known as a CSA - Community Supported Agriculture) which brings healthy, fresh food to families in Mason Square and surrounding neighborhoods. GTC EATS! members register for a weekly share of fresh, local, organic vegetables which are grown at Next Barn Over Farm in Hadley, MA. This is one of many ways we continue to build connections between farmers, families and access to local, healthy, affordable food.

This weekly CSA runs from December-March. For the price of $150. Members will have their pick of potatoes, cabbage, carrots, squash, onions, leeks, beets, turnips, rutabagas, celeriac, kale, and collards. Distribution is self-serve at the farm, where other local products are available for sale – including eggs, yogurt, winter greens, and maple syrup. Shares are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Distributions take place every other week (Monday thru Sunday, December thru March) self-serve, directly out of the root cellar. The produce will not be washed (too cold for the farmers and the barn water pipes). We will have other local products available for sale during distribution including eggs, yogurt, winter greens, and maple syrup.

What is CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture, often shortened to CSA, is a prepaid subscription to a farm's produce for the season. Most CSAs give shareholders a weekly supply of veggies, herbs, fruits and sometimes even eggs and meat. You know it's fresh and you get to meet the farm and people who grew your food! The prepaid CSA arrangements also makes it a source of financial security for the farmer. Some CSAs also incorporate farm workdays for shareholders. Pickup days vary by farm and there are pickup locations across Western Massachusetts.

CSAs have been very popular recently. Be sure to sign up early before subscriptions are filled!
